Here's our story
Skin Grip Adhesive Patch
From Struggle to Solution

The Birth of Skin Grip

In 2013, Joshua Parkinson was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 14. None of us knew much about type one diabetes or how it would change his life forever.

Our family, like many others, had to learn quickly. Adjusting to this new way of life wasn't easy for Josh. Hope came one day at a time.

When our insurance started covering pumps and monitors, it made Josh's life a lot easier. The problem was that those devices fell off so easily. There were a few tape options available, but the adhesives were weak and caused irritation.

"Why couldn't someone make a great product that also benefited the diabetes community in a positive way?"

The idea for Skin Grip was born.

Our Vision

Individuals living with diabetes struggle to keep their glucose monitors inserted in their skin while living active lifestyles. Skin Grip makes strong adhesive tapes to keep monitors secured to the skin so that people with diabetes can participate in their favorite activities with peace of mind.

We know how hard diabetes can be. Wasting expensive sensors makes life even harder. You deserve to live a life doing what you love without the stress. Diabetes doesn't hold you back, and we believe that your CGM (continuous glucose monitor) shouldn't either.

Skin Grip gives you the confidence to push the limits a little further because "diabetic" doesn't define you. It will secure your sensors in the pool, shower, ocean, rain, through exercise, sweat, and all your other favorite activities.
