There are a number of challenges that students with type 1 diabetes may face when it comes to paying for college, including the cost of insulin, diabetes devices and other supplies as well as the time and energy required to manage the condition. Scholarships can help alleviate some of these financial burdens and allow students to fully participate in their academic and extracurricular activities. Skin Grip is continuously inspired by the strength and resilience of T1Ds and believes that scholarships can be an invaluable resource for students with type 1 diabetes. We will be awarding a 2023 scholarship for students with diabetes to help ensure that they have financial support needed to succeed in college and pursue their goals. Students with Type 1 Diabetes Scholarship Details
Skin Grip will be awarding scholarships of at least $1,000 for 25 students with type 1 diabetes.
Diabetes Scholarship Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
- Be a high school senior, undergraduate in a 2- or 4-year degree program, or a graduate student who has diabetes.
- Have a type 1 diabetes diagnosis.
- Submit a recorded video (two minutes or less) showing how you live fearlessly with type 1 diabetes via org
Scholarship Deadline for Students with Diabetes
The scholarship submission deadline for students with diabetes is February 1, 2023.
Winners Announcement for Diabetes Scholarship
Recipient winners of the 2023 diabetes scholarship will be announced March 1, 2023.
