Exciting news was recently announced for Freestyle Libre continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) users. Freestyle Libre 2 Plus sensor is officially authorized to work with the Tandem t:slim x2 insulin pump. Previously, Freestyle Libre did not not integrate with any automated insulin pumps, but that doesn’t appear to be the case anymore! Abbott, the manufacturer of Freestyle Libre, shared that they are working with Insulet, the manufacturer of Omnipod, to create compatible insulin pump integrations that will be released in the very near future after receiving FDA clearance as well.
